Week 3 OPEN DAYS

We had great fun sharing our days with our parents, grandparents, teachers and principals. The days ran pretty much as they usually would except for having a guest speaker, Warren Field, who talked to Wednesday class.....he forgot about Tuesday!!

Having another go at the handcuff challenge......we still didn't get it! We had to be shown the answer because we were all so frustrated! And yes it was easy when you knew how!

Mental edge...Sharing our thoughts on this statement...'Ancient traditional patterns are irrelevant in the 21st century'

A PMI (Plus, minus, interesting) on 'Everyone has to wear a cultural symbol'

Caitlinn's nana trying her hand at Russian

Warren Field talking to Wednesday class (he forgot to come on Tuesday!) about Wairarapa's water ways and eels. Did you know a female eel isn't ready for breeding until she is over 60 years old and that they beed once and then die???

Georgia's mum and Keziah's grandad having a go at beating us in chess......

A beautiful flax creation that Kyra brought to share with us. It was made by her clever aunty. We discussed how this fits into our concept on patterns and which visual art classes it had.
